Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to be part of our Operations team providing support for a network infrastructure and VMware implementation deployed in multiple data center locations. The candidate should have demonstrable skills in network architecture design and engineering, as well as in network monitoring and troubleshooting. Candidate should also possess disaster recovery and business continuity planning, implementation and analysis experience. Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor network performance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will have five (5) or more years of experience with the following:
Knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and other routing protocols
LAN/WAN, wireless and wired networks including servers, routers, switches, gateways and related hardware/appliances.
Experience managing MPLS networks.
Proficiency in SolarWinds, or similar network monitoring system.
Proficient with firewall and load balancing technologies.
Ability to diagnose and investigate network problems:
Performing intense troubleshooting, including ability to monitor, intercept, and decode data as it is in transit.
Use of network sniffers (e.g. Wireshark Packet Sniffer) for protocol analyses.
Determination of root cause analyses.
Proficiency in WAN and LAN design and architecture.
And working knowledge in two (2) or more of the following areas:
Cisco ASA firewalls, routers and wireless LAN controllers.
Radware AppDirector and Alteon load balancers.
Cisco UCS server infrastructure.
Security administration and platform hardening.
Flowcharting and network diagramming (Visio, etc.).
Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Credentials and Experience:
A degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Systems or a related field is desired, but in-job experience will be considered. Previous hands on experience as a network engineer or network administrator is preferred. One or more of the following certifications are required for consideration:
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
CompTIA Network+
