Foot Locker is seeking a skilled and motivated Architect to be part of a fast-paced organization providing innovative Finance, Real Estate, and Procurement solutions in support of Foot Locker’s global operations. This role is accountable for the overall design and architecture strategy across the noted business system areas and will work with business and IS&T peers and stakeholders in understanding requirements, defining solution scope, and outlining an optimized best in class technology solution architecture to drive positive value and business outcomes. This role will apply deep expertise of modern Finance processes, technologies, and data architecture to identify, develop, implement, and support solutions that improve productivity and processes, increase efficiencies, and optimize costs savings. The Technical Architect will also be responsible for interface and integration strategies for Foot Locker’s PeopleSoft FSCM modules with both internal systems and external SaaS systems along with developing strategies for retirement of legacy applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and architect the design for Foot Locker Finance, Real Estate, and Procurement solutions globally. This includes PeopleSoft FSCM, Accruent, Ariba, sales audit, banking/treasury, and other solutions in this area.
Perform detailed analysis of processes and requirements to produce solution specifications for complex and large projects.
Conduct technical design reviews and provide technical guidance and expertise to developers, business and functional analysts, testing teams, compliance, and other IS&T team members.
Provide documented technical design proposals, estimates, specifications, and maintenance guidance.
Research leading edge technologies and processes for continuous improvement and innovation.
Work with internal and external development teams to track delivery solutions to defined architectural standards.
Create and maintain technology roadmaps.
Lead, align, influence, and collaborate across organizational boundaries within IS&T and business functions without direct authority.
Manage the resolution of cross-functional and cross-platform issues and risks in accordance with program objectives.
Work with vendors and 3rd parties to assess technical interactions, exploit opportunities, and to resolve operational challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information technology or equivalent degree major.
Minimum of 7 years of experience with five of them being in architecture with PeopleSoft and other solutions.
In-depth functional and technical knowledge and extensive working experience in PeopleSoft FSCM and Procurement technologies in conjunction with SaaS solutions.
Leadership experience in managing technology architecture roadmaps and overseeing full life cycle implementations at enterprise scale.
Thorough knowledge and experience in PeopleTools, Microservices, APIs, Kafka, Oracle, and SQL DBMS.
Experience working on full stack development and SDLC.
Background in PeopleSoft FSCM development and upgrades.
Experience with JSON, Node.js/JavaScript, Python.
Experience with UNIX/AIX, Linux, and Windows platforms and scripting.
Excellent communication skills, including written and oral; with the ability to present to large groups with confidence.
Team player and able to collaborate with other global areas in a professional and engaging way.
Strong analytical skills and able to quickly understand and improve complex retail data and processes.
Strong level of autonomy and self-accountability and able to manage time independently, prioritize work under tight deadlines and with changing priorities.
Proficient in using standard desktop PC applications such as MS Office Suite and flow charting tools.
Knowledge and experience in Retail environment is beneficial but not a must.
