We’re looking to bring on a Quality Engineer, Lead to our ever-growing team, a key contributor to the overall quality of the products developed within the Core Retail division together with other team members. Agile is key to our journey and you will play a big role in building and developing the agile testing organization. You will drive the test strategies for major retail technology initiatives and continuous product development and work with a new tech stack of: Cassandra, Kafka, Java Springboot, Hazelcaste, and more.
You will be responsible for implementing standards in automated and manual testing solutions. You will look to match the best testing technology and solutions to our pipelines, constantly on the hunt for ways to improve things. You will also be hands-on with our scrum teams’ day-to-day work, interacting with developers, product managers, and designers on a daily basis to deliver on sprint goals. You are an engineer and thrive on applying your technical skills to build elegant solutions to meet quality goals. You will have a big picture view of how systems in core retail work, how code gets built, tested and deployed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for leading test automation development, validation and deployment.
Apply industry best practices for testing and test automation.
Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communicate test progress, test results, and quality of application changes.
Analyze test results to discover and report out on defects.
Document defects, debug effectively and collaborate with developers for resolution.
Work with the scrum team to ensure that all stories have well-defined acceptance criteria, test plans, and any hooks needed to enable testability.
Diagnose issues to determine the scope and provide reproduction scenarios.
Work with Business and Functional Analysts to plan and execute UAT.
Work closely with the Product and Development teams during all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results.
Proactively identify new tools/processes/approaches and continuously strive to find ways to improve the overall testing strategy.
Deliver high-quality product releases.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
Knowledge of and hands-on experience with automation development.
Must have experience leading and growing teams.
Knowledge of and experience with testing tools: Cucumber, jMeter, Selenium, QTP (UFT), VS Test Professional, SOAP UI, Zephyr.
Development experience a PLUS.
Performance testing a PLUS.
Cloud experience a plus (Azure preferable).
Reporting Tools a plus (Spark, Hadoop and Hive).
Experience with DevOps tools and process.
Experience working with mission-critical applications preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience working with cloud-based platforms.
Experience assembling sanity and regression test suites.
Experience providing estimates to complete QA related tasks.
Ability to work well with on-shore and off-shore teams.
