ABOUT THIS JOB
The DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for integrating/optimizing security solutions/processes with DevOps/ADLM systems and other technologies seamlessly and automatically to ensure security integration/automation and Security as Code are part of Nielsen’s overall application security program and cloud security program. The position involves close integration with various business units, technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive widespread cyber security adoption. The position will also drive the execution and enhancement of Nielsen cyber security throughout our hybrid environments both on-premise and in the cloud..
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Help build DevOps strategy to integrate cybersecurity into Nielsen’s adoption and improvement of DevOps practices
* Integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Bamboo, AWS CodeBuild, Atlassian) and Atlassian systems; automate all aspects of infrastructure and security
* Assist application development teams with on-boarding into application security testing solutions. Champion security by injecting it into secure software development lifecycle processes. Troubleshoot integration/automation issues and when required, work with vendors to resolve them
* Build, test, and administer highly available Container cluster environment to ensure the security of its image, registry, and host
* Configure and monitor multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP) for their compliance assurance, security governance, and SOC enablement
* Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevSecOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant evaluation, ideas, insights and advice
* Provide support for production security-tooling infrastructure
* Develop and automate repeatable security tasks/processes
* Develop and improve DevOps and cloud security standards/processes for continuous integration/delivery environments and cloud-based production deployments
* Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high-quality and documented.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree preferred
* 5+ years of application security experience in a Agile/DevOps environment
* 3+ years working experience of building automated pipelines and security integration/automation in UNIX/Windows environment related to DevOps, system administration, or software engineering
* 2+ years in an application and/or cloud cyber security role
* Full end-to-end understanding of CI/CD pipeline and how to assess them from a security point of view
* Experience with both Static, Dynamic, Interactive Application Security testing, and Runtime Application Self Protection methodologies and tools such as Checkmarx, Contrast, AppScan, HPE Fortify, and Burp Suite
* Working knowledge of Bitbucket/GibHub, Jira, Jenkins/Bamboo, SonarQube, Confluence, and other Agile/DevOps/ADLM tools
* Working knowledge of at least of the leading cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
* Experience working with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Twistlock, Redlock) and serverless/microservices architecture in different cloud environments
* Demonstrated skills with at least one or more configuration management/scripting technology (such as Ansible/Chef/Puppet, Python, Go)
* Strong understanding of SSDLC, DevOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipeline
* Strong understanding of security concept, best practices, and how to apply them, such as SSL/TLS, SSH, certificate, data encryption, credential management, firewall, AAA, IAM, PKI
* Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills. Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly/accurately to technical/non-technical audiences at various hierarchical levels
* Keep learning attitude and forward-leaning security mindset
* Proof of authorization to work in the United States
* CISSP and/or AWS/Azure/GCP Architect/DevOps certifications
* Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines
* Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27000 series, COBIT, and NIST, including NIST CSF
