Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Regularly connects with platform and change specialists to help introduce our toolset to regional stakeholders, including their vendors, partners and customers.
Proactively and reactively connects with business stakeholders across regions and respond to their feedback on documentation.
Creates documents and videos, including but not limited to platform functional areas, knowledge base, reference manuals and user guides.
Collaborates with platform and change specialists in developing online help resources, as well as publishing documentation on the corporate intranet and as electronic media.
Maintains our Change Management internal website.
Maintains all platform copy text across regions and coordinates platform translations with agencies.
Coordinates with TD Marketing to help produce technical external facing content.
Maintains and modifies technical illustrations.
Analyses existing documents for necessary updates and modifications.
Handles proofreading and makes appropriate editing revisions to documents.
Handles the routing of documentation through review and approval processes.
Adheres to quality standards for all phases of documentation process.
Runs all platform features to ensure a correct match with the documentation.
Collects pertinent information for documentation from various resources.
What you will need to succeed in this role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer and Video Editor to effectively create a large documental base that helps support all our cloud platforms and change management activities.
Able to assimilate research data from a variety of sources, analyze, and recommend appropriate courses of action to take.
Able to express ideas clearly and convey necessary information.
Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
Must be a team player and able to work independently and with others.
Strategic and analytical skills.
An out of the box thinking mentality.
Excellent communication skills, with big stress on written communications.
Experience and knowledge of platform functional tools.
Experience with putting voice over video a definite advantage.
Solid understanding of E-commerce, ideally with some technical background.
Ideally a native English speaker with excellent proficiency in the use of English language. Proficiency in other languages a definite advantage.
Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual (ownership)
Able to work constructively under stress and pressure as well as in a multitasking environment.
Comfortable working in an international results driven project organisation.
Understanding of the IT Software / Services / SaaS/IaaS industry are a definite advantage
IT Channel experience, preferably in TD, IM, and other distributors or software vendors, are a definite advantage.
Experience with Freshdesk, Brainshark and Workday definitely a plus.
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager a definite advantage.
Good understanding of contemporary document storage and sharing tools such as MS SharePoint, MS Teams, plus text and video editing tools such as MS Word, PDF edition, MS Power Point, and Camtasia.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years of experience in a multinational environment.
