Associate’s degree, 7 years of Software testing experience
Prior experience in leading/managing QA Teams or, Equivalent combination of education and experience
Full understanding of the goals of the entire project (not just QA with regards to functionality being developed, delivery dates, quality requirements, available resources, and the relationship of the current project to other ongoing projects, and to the rest of the product line).
Written and verbal communication skills, which are used with team members and clients in the form of formal training, mentoring, and presentations.
Responsible for team understanding of Quality Methodology and process creation.
Knowledge of TFS and Software Configuration Management promotion processes.
For projects, this position may be the most senior QA representative on the team. In this case, this person has “ownership” of the module from a QA standpoint.
Ability to meet goals and deadlines.
Prior experience in problem resolution.

Job Description:
Under limited supervision, carries out procedures to ensure that all products and services meet minimum company standards and end user requirements. Oversees the Manual Quality Assurance Testing Teams and makes sure that all software is tested to ensure operation and freedom from defects. Oversees the documentation of all problems and works to resolve them; reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and recommends quality improvements. Manages all client projects to meet goals and deadlines and strives to achieve maximum quality within time constraints of the project deadlines. Handles personnel issues and strives to keep the team stable and productive. Creates training programs and assists in the execution of the training for the team. Attends meetings as required. Participates in RFPs as required. Creates Quality Plans and Test Plans as required to satisfy client contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities
Manage both large scale testing projects and fast tracked bug fixes.
Oversees the Unemployment Insurance and Workforce Manual Quality Assurance Teams.
Develop Test Plans and Quality Plans for the large software modules, and oversees the execution of these plans by other team members.
Oversees the development of Test Cases and Test Scripts for the large software modules, and oversees the execution of these plans by other team members.
Responsible for the creation of materials for RFPs for the Manual Software Quality Assurance Teams and the SQA Department as needed.
Mentor SQA Test Management Team and SCM as needed.
Responsible for coordinating project deliverables for all SQA Test Management Teams.
Liaison to work with all other departments to troubleshoot issues and resolve conflicts on behalf of the SQA Department.
Primarily responsible for ownership of projects from a QA standpoint.
Managing the testing effort of all software releases from the development department.
Managing the department’s documenting and tracking of all software defects.
Reviewing and assisting in the creation of software documentation in conjunction with the subject matter experts.
Recommendation and review of department policies and procedures related to source code integrity, testing procedures and implementation of software releases.
Participate in the determination of installation instructions for software releases.
Overall responsibility for all Quality Assurance Projects.
Responsible for stepping in as temporary Lead for any SQA Team when the lead is not available.
Responsible for the operations of the SQA Department when the Director of Quality Assurance is not available.
Creation and Distribution of department reports.
Go to person to answer questions about the department for the rest of the company.
Knowledge of Technical Support, SCM and Manual and Automation Test Management processes and procedures.
Ability to manage deployment events on a weekly basis including nights, weekends and extended hours to assure a stable product is delivered to the clients.
Responsible for personnel oversight of team’s work-related efforts and needs, including the preparation of probationary and annual employee reviews, approval of paid time off, daily employee schedule considerations, and approval of base work schedule requests as needed.
