The Nielsen Company is a global information and media company with leading market positions in marketing and consumer information, television and other media measurement, online intelligence, mobile measurement. Come and join us as a Full Stack Java Developer to work for our TAM – National Product Pod. This position will allow you to do Data Deliveries, which provides our customers access to Nielsen Ratings Data through Flat Files and UI.
 
Core Responsibilities:
     * Design and implement new functionality for Nielsen TAM applications
     * Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including discovery, design, code, test and document engineering software applications
     * Follow development best practices, guarantee the quality and the sustainability of the code
     * Support testing and UAT phases and participate in deployment
 
Qualifications:
     * 5+ years of server-side Java development experience
     * At least 4 years of experience working with Java EE/SE with exposure to multi-threading pools, servlets and EJBs
     * Extensive experience with Full stack development: Java, Struts 2.0, Spring, JavaScript, AngularJS, Node JS & SQL
     * Hands-on experience with Micro services development and REST API’s
     * In-depth understanding of Object oriented design principles and design patterns
     * Solid knowledge of data structures and their applications
     * Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Test driven development
 
Desired Qualifications
     * Experience with AWS Cloud technologies such as EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, Lambda etc
     * Hands on development knowledge using Spark/Scala
     * Self-starter and dedicated with demonstrable creative and critical thinking capabilities
     * Should have a strong desire to learn new technologies and not be afraid to ask questions
     * Effective time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and shifting requirements
     * Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
     * A Bachelor’s OR Masters degree in engineering
