Title: Office Coordinator/ Project Assistant

Office Coordinator manages a variety of office functions and is key to smooth operation of all projects as well as performs general office duties to assist the project manager.

Communicate and interact with the FDOT, counties, & engineering firms on traffic control, automated traffic management systems (ATMS), cameras, lighting, and signage projects (Low-High Voltage & Fiber Optics).

Experience Preferred in the following areas:

Electrical, civil, environmental, mechanical, LV communications, or project management, along with knowledge of the FDOT standard specifications for traffic control construction.
Primavera software and CPM scheduling helpful.
Construction estimating and proposal work including the design-build, bid, lump-sum, and time-material areas.
Write processes, letters, work plans, and procedures for commercial customers, FDOT, and municipalities as a prime and subcontractor.
Assisting with certified claims, costs, contracts, negotiations, billings, materials, labor, change orders, and special projects.
Support negotiations, support field service activities, resolve product and field issues.
Strong writing skills for correspondence, and implementation of processes for various TCD offices and customers.
Communicate technically complex and commercially sensitive information to various internal and external organizations/personnel, and work closely with engineering, accounting, purchasing, contracts and legal.
Work with suppliers (vendors) and subcontractors to provide performance data, pricing and scheduling .
Process Electrical Permits and various other FDOT processes and forms.
Record data and track material used on various projects.
Coordinate with engineers, partners, and customers to support timely transmittal and understanding of technical documents and plan sets.
Communicate with related utilities, Duke Energy, FPL, TECO, KUA, OUC, Verizon, ATT, SECO & municipality county/city owned utilities.
