Title: Application Infrastructure Administrator

The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District), a leader in protecting Florida’s water resources, is seeking an Application Infrastructure Administrator in support of the Information Technology Bureau. The Application Infrastructure Administrator is an important part of the IT customer support services provided to the District.
This position provides expert hands-on and remote support for customers in the Tampa, Sarasota and Bartow Service Offices which include PC life cycle replacements, installation, upgrades, troubleshooting and support of mission critical applications, troubleshooting network access for District Staff, providing proactive system monitoring to better facilitate ongoing computer system performance and provides support for issues requiring escalation by the Desktop Support staff to the Application Infrastructure Administrator. Serves as team leader among the Tampa Desktop Support team to provide training, support, mentoring, and coordination as needed.
The successful candidate will coordinate with the Network Engineers, Enterprise Architect and Facilities team to provide support for the Tampa data center hardware including Telecom, Fiber, Cabling, PDU’s, Generators, CRAC units, Cisco switches and Fire Suppression. This position also assists Enterprise Infrastructure staff with data center support, as well as serves as the administrator of our Citrix environment.

Perform operational tasks necessary to maintain availability of customers hardware and software.
Provide expert hands-on and remote support for customers requiring access to applications used throughout the District to include routine upgrades, troubleshooting and support, i.e. WMIS, SCADA, ICPR, Groundwater Vistas, Wiski, Open Text Capture, Kofax Capture, etc.
Maintain the Desktop Support que in the Incident Management Software to include triaging requests, assigning tasks to Desktop Support Staff, QA/QC of completed assignments.
Ensure that all SLA’s are completed within the SLA lifespan.
Coordinate support activities between liaisons, desktop support staff, and District customers.
Ability to resolve complex technical issues using Information Technology Best Practices and System Documentation.
Computer Support Specialist is the escalation point for the Desktop Support Technicians for issues requiring advanced troubleshooting or research for resolution.
Senior level Computer Support Specialists serve as a team leader among the Desktop Support Team which includes providing direction, support, mentoring and training.
Serve as the primary administrator for the District’s Citrix environment used to host centralized applications to support remote access for staff and other agencies.

General Education Diploma (GED) or better.
High School or better.
Bachelors or better in Information Technology or related field.
1 year: Related experience and High School Diploma, GED, or higher for Application Infrastructure Administrator 1 position level
2 years: Related experience and Associates degree or higher OR 4 years related experience and High School Diploma or GED for Application Infrastructure Administrator 2 position level
4 years: Related experience and Bachelors degree or higher OR 6 years related experience and Associates degree OR 8 years related experience and High School Diploma or GED for Application Infrastructure Administrator 3 position level
6 years: Related experience and Bachelors degree or higher OR 8 years related experience and Associates degree OR 10 years related experience and High School Diploma or GED for Application Infrastructure Administrator 4 position level
• Experience with CompTIA, Microsoft or Cisco Certification (s) i.e. A+, Network+, Security+, Server+, MCP, MTA, MOS, MCSD, MCSA, MSCE, CCENT, CCT, CCNA
2 years: Supervisory experience in an information technology role
