• Experience leading peers and matrix teams through business process analysis, requirements definition, problem solving and change management.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in order to obtain information needed quickly.

Responsibilities

Required Technical Skills

•3-6+ years working with SQL and NoSQL datastores
•Comfortable traversing the whole stack: client-side through the persistence layer
•Experience with In-Memory Caching, Queues, Protocols, SOLR, Avro, etc.
•Experience with terabytes of information on big data (hadoop, hbase, hive) for aggregation and rollup

Required Non-Technical Skills
•A passion for building software and delivering technology for business
•Working knowledge of Agile software engineering processes

The Application Infrastructure Administrator is an important part of the IT customer support services provided to the District.

This position provides expert hands-on and remote support for customers in the Tampa, Sarasota and Bartow Service Offices which include PC life cycle replacements, installation, upgrades, troubleshooting and support of mission critical applications, troubleshooting network access for District Staff, providing proactive system monitoring to better facilitate ongoing computer system performance and provides support for issues requiring escalation by the Desktop Support staff to the Application Infrastructure Administrator. Serves as team leader among the Tampa Desktop Support team to provide training, support, mentoring, and coordination as needed.

The successful candidate will coordinate with the Network Engineers, Enterprise Architect and Facilities team to provide support for the Tampa data center hardware including Telecom, Fiber, Cabling, PDU’s, Generators, CRAC units, Cisco switches and Fire Suppression. This position also assists Enterprise Infrastructure staff with data center support, as well as serves as the administrator of our Citrix environment.

Serve as the primary administrator for the District’s Citrix environment used to host centralized applications to support remote access for staff and other agencies.
