Job Purpose:
The Innovation Technology (IT) Portfolio Specialist must successfully support a global project portfolio valued at greater than $40M with approximately 75+ projects detailing the IT department’s project commitments that align to the business strategy. This role will be responsible for driving the portfolio discipline ensuring that IT develops an achievable and executable baselined portfolio. The IT Portfolio Specialist will facilitate and coordinate the project portfolio definition, its structure and processes. This process will encompass demand management, strategic alignment of projects to portfolio categories and criteria, project evaluation, selection and prioritization through execution, as well as the tracking and measurement of achieved results. This position should have deep knowledge on the projects from inception to completion to support of the PMO Director, PMO Leads, project managers and delivery managers.

Responsibilities:
This role entails producing the IT project portfolio deliverables such as status reports, executive presentations, project tracking and more to ensure IT is delivering on its commitment as well as producing high quality products to the business and management that tells an appropriate story for the audience. (40%)
Works with IT and Business project leads to identify, track and report on the portfolio of IT projects throughout the project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, close) as well as through the agile methodology. (30%)
Drives portfolio activities related to achieving measurable outcomes by managing schedule, resources, scope, deliverables, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and communications. Works with the Project Coordinator to ensure the resource loaded master schedule is updated, accurate and capable of performing portfolio reviews, trade-off decisions, and what if scenarios when required. (30%)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
PMP or other related project management / portfolio management certifications. Familiarity with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as HP PPM is a plus.

This is a tiered position, and you will be moved from Tier 1 to Tier 3 as your training and knowledge progresses. The IAE Systems Administrator is responsible for the overall management and operations of IAE’s multiple computer systems, servers, networks and audio-visual systems. The position requires extensive knowledge of not only state-of-the-art IT technologies, but also government and university regulations concerning the protection of information on both classified and controlled unclassified IT systems. The Systems Administrator routinely interacts with Institute researchers, staff, students, USF IT professionals, and sponsor counterparts in the accomplishment of his/her duties.
