The Graphic & Production Artist will focus mainly on the day-to-day design, scheduling and production of Valet Living’s print and digital/web projects.


Assist creative director in designing various forms of visual digital/printed advertising and communications that are consistent with Valet Living’s visual identity standards across the Valet Living Doorstep, Valet Living Home, Valet Living Pet, Quick Turns and Torch Fitness verticals
Design and develop marketing creative for internal and external clients for trade and magazine advertisements, sales sheets, emails, video and web
Prepare and manage the timely production of all collateral
Revise content and presentations according to direction from the Creative Director
Produce agency-caliber print and digital communications while upholding Valet Living’s identity visual identity standards
Ensure all materials meet strategic goals and objectives as well as creative briefs
Oversee production timelines and budgets for marketing communications projects
Participate in creative sessions and idea generation
Provide input on strategy and innovation with a view toward constantly improving digital and print materials
Review and approve printer proofs, attend press checks when feasible
Support the Creative Director for the preparation of photo and video shoots
Proof, proofread, check and double-check all ads, brochures, direct mail, sales sheets, web and other forms of advertising and promotion for both internal and external audiences
Research technical properties of all printed projects
Coordinate all internal requests to the marketing/creative department, follow up and fill in information gaps and distribute requests to appropriate individual on the marketing team
Make back-end content changes to Valet Living’s website using the Word Press content management system
Remain current and knowledgeable on print, design and digital trends, constantly evaluating new and emerging marketing, print and web developments
Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum 1-3 years of proven design experience producing marketing materials at an in-house marketing department, advertising/design agency or combination of experience with the portfolio to showcase it
Outstanding working knowledge of the Adobe design suite; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat especially
Expertise in design illustration strongly desired
Experience with Final Cut Pro or other video editing programs is a plus
Exceptional ability to produce designs in MS Word, Excel and craft dynamic PowerPoint presentations
Bachelor’s degree in related field like advertising, marketing, design, communications or relevant field
Experience in working with creative briefs and meeting goals, objections, timelines and budgets for print projects and website updating especially
Experience using the Word Press backend content management system for content updates, adding new template pages and general maintenance.
Experience maintaining a Word Press site including site framework and plug-in updates, back up testing, adding new plug-ins and features, etc a plus
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact with a variety of audiences
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to produce within existing brand identity systems
Knowledge of design principals and process, typography, brand identity design/style guides and print production methods and procedures
Eagle eye for proofing printed and digital materials
Exceptional command of English grammar
Specific expertise in producing print materials and working with the Word Press backend
Must be extremely organized and highly detail-oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards in all work
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities simulatenously
Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment
Knowledge of current print production and multifamily trends
Physical ability to lift 25 pounds
