FUNCTION OF THE JOB
The Director, Enterprise Project Management & Administration (EPMO), leads a team who is accountable for on time, on-budget delivery of business critical projects. The Director EPMO & Admin, leads and motivates a team of Project Managers, develops and enhances enterprise-wide and internal project processes, and provides leadership throughout the entire lifecycle of required projects.

The Director of EPMO & Admin is responsible for the overall governance of the project approval, including the organization & management of the company Information Services Steering Committee. The role is responsible to orchestrate project request, communicate business impact and secure executive approval for critical IS technology initiatives.

The Director EPMO & Admin works with Finance to coordinate and align the technology strategic roadmap with annual/long range financial budgets. Working with key financial analyst the Director EPMO & Admin manages the annual/long range budget planning process for the Information Services organization. The position also directs the ongoing IS Cost Optimization initiatives to maximize allocation of technical resources for maximum impact.

The Director EPMO & Admin leads a lean Vendor Management process within the Information Services organization. Responsibilities include managing vendor RFP, selection, negotiation, contract and legal processes. Working alongside Information Services executive management the Director of EPMO & Admin reinforces standard operating practices and provides consultative input to vendor management activities.

The Director EPMO & Admin provides guidance and leadership to Centers of Excellence groups. Leadership oversight, orchestration, and setting outcomes for COE teams is the key responsibility. In addition the position lends support to administrating key Information Services meetings agendas and preparation activities.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (Essential Functions)
Deliver Effective Enterprise Project Management
•Define, communicate, and execute the vision, strategies and operating procedures for effective project management within the Information Services organization
•Determine appropriate project cost estimation, manage financial performance, and evaluate quality/success of initiative deliverables
•Collaborates with technical management evaluate work progress, resource commitment, and risk; makes recommendations actions to improve project performance
•Keep business & technical leadership informed of changes related to new and ongoing projects within the organization; communicate status, resolve and/or escalate project issues in a timely fashion
Direct Information Services Project/Portfolio Governance Program
•Directs the annual and interim project induction, evaluation and prioritization of requests considering Information Services work capacity
•Lead Information Services Steering Committee and facilitate governance for the project portfolio
•Educate the business community on project and program management governance and processes
Administrate the Information Services Financial Planning & Budgeting Function
•Manage and oversee department project budgets
•Direct and lead the Information Services department in the annual budget planning process. Work in conjunction with Finance department Analyst to efficiently execute the formal budgeting process
•Work in conjunction with Finance department to establish IS Cost benchmark data for comparative analysis. Administrate IS Cost Optimization initiatives to identify financial opportunities and reallocate funds to higher priority objectives
Oversee Lean Vendor Management Process
•Continue development of standard operating process supporting decentralized vendor management capabilities. Coordinate process implementation, change management and training for Information Services organization
•Periodically support vendor RFP/RFI, selection, negotiation, legal, risk and contract management activities for high profile projects
Support Expansion of Centers of Excellence and Information Services Communications
•Act a lead sponsor for creation, development and implementation of specific functional Centers of Excellence. Work in a cross functional, matrix structure to influence teams to meet, develop initiatives and deliver improvements
•Support Office of CIO in planning, scheduling and administrating key meetings such as Executive Committee and Quarterly/Annual staff communication meetings
Lead High Performing Team
•Supervise and lead a group of Project Managers and support staff. Direct reports between 6-10 executives depending on project initiatives
•Manage formal performance review process and provide informal coaching & feedback. Mentor team members in best practices and provide skill development
•Ensure team members have access to professional and personal growth/training opportunities
•Work in conjunction with Human Resources to recruit, hire, retain and terminate to drive department forward for increased performance

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
•Supervise EPMO team members through hiring, performance appraisals, pay rate reviews, delegating, promoting, coaching, counseling and terminating as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•Position requires employee to be able to perform professional office duties, such as prolonged use of a personal computer, periodic phone usage throughout the day, and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing
•Minimal travel required to conferences and stores

QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree, Masters a plus
•Minimum 7 year’s Project Management Experience
•Minimum 5 years management leadership experience
•Project Management Institute certification (PMP)
•ITIL certification a plus
•Experience in IT portfolio management desired
•Working knowledge of project management tools and software products
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
•Must have excellent organizational skills
•Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills with fluency in English
•Ability to pro-actively anticipate obstacles and create solutions
•Knowledge of financial concepts, including ability to manage an operating budget
•Demonstrated ability to adapt to and lead change
•Deliver engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations
