CareSync is the leading provider of software and services for Chronic Care Management, combining technology with clinical services to facilitate care coordination. We are seeking an Application Support Manager for our headquarters in Tampa, FL. 

The Application Support Manager will provide high quality operational and application support to CareSync’s customers and internal business functions, and minimize the adverse impact of incidents on business operations. The role requires expertise in supporting web applications and the technology stack typically associated with modern web applications. 

The Application Support Manager is a position within CareSync’s Product and Technology organization. Reporting to the CTO, the application support manager will work with the infrastructure team, engineering team and product managers to ensure that the applications function and perform as designed. The application support manager will have a small team of analysts and developers in addition to access a number of modern application management tools.

What you will be doing:
• You and your team will make sure that all applications are up and running as expected. You will monitor the health of the applications for abnormal functional issues, poor performance or general annoyances. These applications are a combination of internally developed applications as well as third party applications deployed in-house. 
• Create and manage the problem management process to meet the service levels for each application. This would include maintaining run books of daily, weekly and monthly tasks.; making sure those tasks are completed. 
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on production infrastructure. 
• Process application support queries and issues that the helpdesk or level-1 support have not been able to address. 
• Interact with internal developers, infrastructure engineers and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues 
• Develop fixes for application issues – quick code fixes, database updates or other solutions that don’t require extensive development
• Develop tools to automate recurring tasks that improve the productivity of the team. 
• Lead and prioritize the application support team’s workload. Coach and develop team members. 

Key responsibilities:
• Work closely with product leadership and other product managers, conduct daily standups, and respond to internal inquiries and issues with the product. Primary internal contacts will be the VP of Clinical Services and the Clinical Services leadership team.
• Knowledge and key skills 
• Ability to debug problems through a multi-pronged investigation approach. 
• Previous application development experience is desirable DBA skills on MYSQL is a plus
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. 
• Ability to multitask in a high volume, fast paced work environment with very tight deadlines

Education and Experience:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of professional software support experience
• At least 1 year of experience managing or leading a technical team, particularly in application support
• Hands on knowledge of SQL, PHP and other scripting tools necessary to be effective in such a role
