◾Five (5) to Ten (10) years of Product Management work experience in a top tech company, government labor or economics sector or innovative technology startup
◾Bachelor’s Degree in economics or quantitative data, statistics, or related field required
◾Experience using data visualization tools or programming libraries such as Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, Datameer, D3 or derivative
◾Minimum five (5) years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, preferably with a labor economics focus
◾SQL Server Reporting and Analytics Services
◾Data modeling both OLTP and OLAP
◾Written and oral communication skills
Preferred Skills: ◾MBA or PhD
◾Prior technical experience in labor economic data science or data analytics
◾Expertise in data visualization

Job Summary: The Data Services team works collaboratively with the sales, technology and business teams to uncover the actionable business insights from data that fuel new products and insights. The role is to lead and inspire teams across our company to solve important customer problems with data. The Sr. Economist will help to inform development of and enable solutions that span the gamut in terms of analytic complexity from descriptive analytic insights to sophisticated algorithms or models. The director will lead, execute and coordinate analyses, models and projects from hypothesis to delivery which reflect deep knowledge of business questions and align with project and business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
◾Manage communications with internal customers and leaders
◾Coordination of team of analytic resources and their work to deliver analytics solutions to stakeholders or project team.
◾Partner and collaborate with sales, development and data teams to design, build and launch core data products
◾Use data manipulation and analytics tools to execute analyzes on large data stores.
◾Scope and lead analytics projects of varying sizes from hypothesis through delivery.
◾Leverage advanced analytics techniques on large and disparate data sets for the purpose of delivering ad hoc analyses and insights or formulating analytics-enabled solutions
◾Develop and train personnel to increase analytic and reporting capabilities and set the foundation to meet requirements of future offerings.
◾Develop and evolve the departments toolset and offerings in line with business demands, including the introduction of new and innovative solutions
◾Manage and maintain all system processes (operations) that are integral to the company’s ability to conduct its daily business.
◾Identify process improvement and profit opportunities through rigorous data analysis and partner with business owners to implement the improvements
◾Establish, maintain and promote consistent methodology for analytics deployment
◾Proactively investigate data issues and ensure on-going reporting data integrity
◾Conduct a wide variety of research projects on various data sources.
◾Creation of reports and indices for national publication.
◾Create summary data extracted from workforce systems across 30 states and territories.
◾Investigated opportunities to monetarize jobs data
◾Improve the quality of data
